unc-path-regex

Regular expression for testing if a file path is a windows UNC file path. Can also be used as a component of another regexp via the .source property.

Install

Install with npm

Usage

1// unc-path-regex returns a function
2var regex = require('unc-path-regex')();

true

Returns true for windows UNC paths:

1regex.test('\\/foo/bar');
2regex.test('\\\\foo/bar');
3regex.test('\\\\foo\\admin$');
4regex.test('\\\\foo\\admin$\\system32');
5regex.test('\\\\foo\\temp');
6regex.test('\\\\/foo/bar');
7regex.test('\\\\\\/foo/bar');

false

Returns false for non-UNC paths:

1regex.test('/foo/bar');
2regex.test('/');
3regex.test('/foo');
4regex.test('/foo/');
5regex.test('c:');
6regex.test('c:.');
7regex.test('c:./');
