We believe in a future in which the web is a preferred environment for numerical computation. To help realize this future, we've built stdlib. stdlib is a standard library, with an emphasis on numerical and scientific computation, written in JavaScript (and C) for execution in browsers and in Node.js.
The library is fully decomposable, being architected in such a way that you can swap out and mix and match APIs and functionality to cater to your exact preferences and use cases.
When you use stdlib, you can be absolutely certain that you are using the most thorough, rigorous, well-written, studied, documented, tested, measured, and high-quality code out there.
To join us in bringing numerical computing to the web, get started by checking us out on GitHub, and please consider financially supporting stdlib. We greatly appreciate your continued support!
Define a memoized read-only object property.
1npm install @stdlib/utils-define-memoized-read-only-property
1var setMemoizedReadOnly = require( '@stdlib/utils-define-memoized-read-only-property' );
Defines a memoized read-only object property.
1var obj = {}; 2 3function foo() { 4 return 'bar'; 5} 6 7setMemoizedReadOnly( obj, 'foo', foo ); 8 9var v = obj.foo; 10// returns 'bar'
The last argument should be a synchronous function whose return value will be memoized and set as the property value.
1var fibonacci = require( '@stdlib/math-base-special-fibonacci' ); 2var setMemoizedReadOnly = require( '@stdlib/utils-define-memoized-read-only-property' ); 3 4function Foo() { 5 var self; 6 if ( !(this instanceof Foo) ) { 7 return new Foo(); 8 } 9 self = this; 10 this.count = 0; 11 setMemoizedReadOnly( this, 'fibo', fibo ); 12 return this; 13 14 function fibo() { 15 self.count += 1; 16 return fibonacci( 73 ); 17 } 18} 19 20var foo = new Foo(); 21 22var i; 23for ( i = 0; i < 10; i++ ) { 24 console.log( 'F: %d. Count: %d.', foo.fibo, foo.count ); 25}
@stdlib/utils-define-memoized-property
: define a memoized object property.@stdlib/utils-define-read-only-property
: define a read-only property.This package is part of stdlib, a standard library for JavaScript and Node.js, with an emphasis on numerical and scientific computing. The library provides a collection of robust, high performance libraries for mathematics, statistics, streams, utilities, and more.
